Hola Friends,

God is good all the time and all the time God is good.

An update from Costa Rica!

Before embarking on this new journey , many people would ask how they could pray for me- I would almost always say physical health. The thought of being sick in another country sounded less than ideal but also inevitable.
Well, sickness struck. Despite previous efforts, COVID-19 came with cold like symptoms. At first I thought that the coffee in Costa Rica was not caffeinated =), as I had a headache for 7 days. But, when I couldn’t taste the pineapple one afternoon, I knew I was in trouble. After a quick covid test and positive test results, I (along with some teammates) needed to find a new place to quarantine. Even through all of this, I felt the presence of God in a mighty way. I no longer was fearful of being sick because I knew God was in it with me.

God provides.

Within moments, we had a place to stay in the mountains of Turrialba through a connection the pastor had. During our quarantine time, we were able to sleep, go on walks outside, spend lots of time building as a team and worshiping/ reading the Bible.

In times of uncertainty/worry we can always turn to Jesus for comfort and for that I am so thankful!

Now, my team and I have been out of quarantine for a few days and living life to the fullest. The people of Turrialba are amazing, I feel so blessed to be here.

Thank you for your prayers.

A few answered prayers recently:
-God protected those we were around from Covid.
-I am feeling 100% after having Covid.

Psalm 145:18

“The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.”

With love,
Morgan

FOOD.

Judith makes AMAZING food for us every day. I am so thankful for her heart and love that she puts into everything she does. She has taught me so much about what it means to do everything for the Lord. Colossians 3:23

Friends.

Britney is my new Costa Rica BFF. She is 12 years old and loves school. We spent one afternoon at her farm, she showed us all around and even gave me one of her bracelets.

Bernie! My new friend does everything with a smile. He taught me so many things this week! We hand mixed concrete to get the church backyard ready to lay tile. They will use this space for outdoor youth events and children’s church.

Skills.

mixing concrete.

I'm not sure what I was doing here...

The skill of hand washing clothing… still in progress.

Team.
