Hello Friends,

     Well, here it is - the much anticipated first blog post!  I have been going back and forth about what this first blog post should be about. Since the beginning of my World Race journey in March, I have been completely overwhelmed by the generosity, support, and love from so many people. Throughout the application process and the beginning of the preparation for this trip, I knew that it was going to be a life-changing experience. However, I did not know that I would start to experience that before I left the country. What I have learned from all of you following along and supporting me in this journey is the power of generosity and how God uses people to bless other people.

     God is Good all the time, and all the time God is Good. I love to go back and trace God and see how He has worked in my life. My decision to go on the World Race was not a random occurrence, but it has been years of God building something in my heart; a passion to bring light into the dark spaces of this world. On this journey, I will have the opportunity to travel with my squad to many countries over the course of 11 months to follow God's voice and live a life on mission around the world. We will serve with local ministry partners to assist them in their ministry. This could look like church planting, discipleship, prayer ministry, preaching, leading bible studies, children’s ministry, serving women, befriending refugees, and so much more.
